Research centers
discover around 10,000 computer viruses annually – that’s over
27 viruses a day! At Penn State, ResCom staff fix hundreds of
computer viruses each year. Therefore, it is important that
you install a full virus protection software on your computer
and update it often. Norton
Corporate Edition Anti-Virus software is available for free
to Penn State students online at Penn
State's Computer Store. Go to Viruses
for virus listings and anti-virus software information.

infecting or threatening the Penn State residence hall network;
and through news bulletins
about equipment upgrades, music programs that use bandwidth,
etc. We also work hard to keep you informed about other technology
