These changes are part of a plan by Housing & Food Services and Information Technology Services in response to student requests, from individuals and student government groups, for a higher level of Internet service for residence hall students.

Students are reminded to use the new capabilities responsibly and to abide by all laws and applicable University policy. A useful web site to remind yourself of your responsibilities as a Penn State student and citizen can be found at http://its.psu.edu/policies/copyright.html. The performance of the new level of service will be monitored and evaluated over the remainder of spring semester. The analysis of this data will assist us in determining capacity and upload and download limits for next year. We are pleased to be able to offer this trial period for the remainder of Spring Semester and trust you will find it to be an improvement.
