Gnutella Based P2P Programs

If you use any file sharing program based on the Gnutella network, you may be in a high risk group for receiving a bandwidth violation.

These can include at least the following programs:

If you choose to use one of these programs to share or trade files you run the risk of getting a bandwidth violation by even running the program. This means that even if you're not downloading anything or allowing others to upload from you, these programs will use excessive amounts of bandwidth that may exceed the 2 GB allotted to you in a given week.

ResCom strongly discourages the use of any of these programs, NOT ONLY FOR LEGAL REASONS, but also for bandwidth reasons. Simply put: choosing to install and use one of these programs may cause you to get a bandwidth violation very quickly.
