Student Job Opportunities
If ResCom staff are unable to fix a computer, students should find alternate options. We can not make recommendations of any particular professional repair center but there are computer stores local to State College that can fix your computer for a charge. Students are responsible for all costs related to repairing their computer, on or off campus. ResCom does not stock parts or cover repair costs incurred at alternate computer repair installations.

To prevent laptop theft, we recommend that users
lock computers to their desks. Locks are not
provided by Penn State. Locks can be purchased
at Penn State's Computer Store.

The ResCom staff is employed by The Pennsylvania State University. Although staff members appreciate the gesture, they are unable to accept tips. Instead, a letter of appreciation can be sent to Cliff Rodack (cfr3@psu.edu), network coordinator for residence halls, who will place the letter in the employee’s file and use it toward a potential merit raise.
