Step 1:  Launch Eudora. Click on the "Tools" menu and then select "Options." Click on "Checking Mail".

Step 2: Click in the drop-down box below "Secure Sockets when Receiving" and select "Required, Alternate Port".  Click OK and Eudora is now configured to use SSL.
