Step 1: Open Outlook Express. Click on the "Tools" menu and then select "accounts". Click on the "mail" tab as shown. Select your account and then click the "Properties" button.

Step 2:  Click the "Advanced" tab. Click in the box next to "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" as shown below. Click the "OK" button and then click "Close." This completes the configuration.
